A Standard Unit of Measure for Transcribed Reports - Visual Black Character (VBC) is being made by CDIA (formerly MTIA) and AHIMA only for billing of medical transcription services, so that healthcare facilities who contract MT services companies will be able to evaluate these services based on an unambiguous and clearly defined billing method.
