The EHR QA toolkit can be utilized to assist you in your QA endeavors, and you'll hear about this toolkit during the presentation.

Bios:
Sherry Doggett
is a Past President (2011-2012) of the AHDI National Leadership Board. She retired May 1, 2013, as director of corporate transcription services at UC Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she served in that role since 1995 until retirement. She remains active as a volunteer for AHDI and AHIMA and serves on her Credit Union Board. Sherry most recently served as Chairperson for the EHR QA Toolkit Task Force, currently serves as chair of the AHDI Past Presidents Council, and is a member of the Manager/Supervisor Alliance Steering Committee.

Leigh Anne Frame, CMT, AHDI-F, is the manager of transcription for Bryan Health, a multi-facility healthcare system in Lincoln, NE, and surrounding communities, with over 30 years of experience in the MT industry. She has been a member of AHDI since 1998 and has served on the Nebraska-AHDI Board of Directors since 2007, currently as Past President. She is an Office Professional Advisory Board Member for Southeast Community College in Nebraska and has served as an advisor to the Bryan College of Health Sciences School of Allied Health in matters pertaining to medical transcription.

Leigh France is currently the document quality representative for an 870-bed, not-for-profit healthcare system teaching hospital based in Raleigh, NC, where she helps physicians, mid-levels, residents, and interns embrace the need for thorough documentation and develops her skill set to learn more about EMR implementation and how to help her physicians implement this in a less threatening, humorous, and efficient way, with southern charm and points to ponder. Leigh has worked in medical transcription and editing for 15 years, with prior Navy service also.

Joyce Smith is manager of transcription services for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI. Spectrum Health is an integrated healthcare system with nine hospitals, a 600+ physician medical group, and health plan serving western Michigan. The Spectrum Health Transcription Department consists of 100+ transcriptionists, 2 supervisors, 3 QA specialists, and 7 support staff. They utilize 3M for their dictation and transcription solutions. Joyce currently serves as the newsletter editor for the Great Lakes Region AHDI, and serves on the AHDI Managers/Supervisors Alliance.

Stacy Lehto, CHDS, is a transcription QA/education specialist at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI. She has worked in the medical transcription field for 16 years in multiple capacities including transcription, quality assurance, and auditing. She also has experience with back-end and front-end speech recognition. She has also worked as an editor for multiple Stedman's word books. Currently her work at Spectrum Health includes helping with the development of a QA program for clinician-created documentation.
