AHDI Integrity Awards Program
In support of AHDI’s professional programs, standards, and best practices, the Association conducts an annual awards program to acknowledge the significant contributions of its members and other individuals and organizations that have made an impact on the healthcare documentation sector over the previous year. The Association is proud to promote and honor those who have supported the professional practice standards and goals that AHDI has developed for advancing the profession and positioning this sector for continued relevance in the future of healthcare delivery.
The following award categories address the areas of contribution that best align with AHDI’s strategic plan, goals, and objectives as an organization. In any given year, one or no award may be given based on scope and content of nominations submitted. Most require nomination by an AHDI member and many require that the nominee also be a member. Please read the policy statements for each category carefully if you wish to nominate yourself or another individual or organization.
MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award serves to recognize an individual for outstanding contribution to the AHDI through relevant service and activities that have advanced the mission, goals, and objectives of the Association. Unique, high-impact activities or contributions during the calendar year preceding nomination, such as a successful project or year of successful efforts, will be strongly preferred. Ongoing long-term efforts on behalf of the profession will also be considered in making the selection. It should be noted that this highest award of the Association is not designed to award a single contribution or to be used as retirement recognition. The person's sustained activities and efforts are essential for consideration. The winner will be selected from AHDI’s annual Hall of Fame winners – candidates submitted by AHDI’s component associations, representing local and state/regional association Member of the Year winners.
