My name is Jennifer Shreve, and I am the current INKY AHDI Treasurer and Delegate-Elect. I have been a medical transcriptionist for over 18 years and have been in the medical records field for over 25 years. I have been a CMT for almost 2 years. I currently live in the far-north area of Indianapolis, and have been living here in Indiana for 8 years. Prior to moving to Indiana, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for about 14 years, and prior to that I was in Southern California. I am married, with 2 children; Nick is a senior at North Central High School, and Zara is in the 7th grade at Northview Middle School. I really feel that medical transcription is a great profession for so many reasons, and I encourage those entering the field to stick with it, as the payoffs are numerous. I also encourage everyone to get involved in INKY AHDI, as involvement in a professional organization such as ours can greatly enhance your medical transcription experience.
