Description:  This presentation will examine the challenges to effective communication in our present culture. This information will be helpful to professionals in the workplace and in personal interaction as well. Attendees will learn to identify obstacles to effective communication, as well as strategies and techniques for overcoming those obstacles and communicating clearly and effectively.

 

Speaker:  Jay Vance is a 15-year veteran of the healthcare documentation and health information technology fields. He is a Certified Medical Transcriptionist, a Certified HIPAA Professional, and a Fellow of AHDI. He is the current President of the AHDI National Leadership Board and a Director-At-Large. Jay has authored and been quoted as an expert in numerous articles in industry publications, and is a nationally recognized thought leader in the healthcare documentation industry. Jay and his wife Carol have been married for 24 years and have four children and three grandchildren. They make their home in the Desert Southwest in Yuma, AZ.
