Description: Implementing Evidence Based Leadership (EBL) practices have been successful for many organizations as well as ours, but the EBL structure and tools do not facilitate answering the "why" that drives inspiration and motivation that our caregivers need. It also does not set a leader up to be a multiplier.
An inspiring leader is perceived by caregivers to be knowledgeable, open-minded and sensitive to the problems at hand. We learned with our EBL practices that it is important for our leaders to talk, listen, show and share with their caregivers to allow them to connect at a much deeper level. EBL practices also taught our leaders to let their caregivers know they were supported and appreciated, but this still did not produce the problem-solving and teamwork that our organization wished for.
So how does the leader become a multiplier instead of a “diminisher”? Attend this session to learn how leaders can engage their caregivers in value-added teamwork and problem-solving, as well as be inspirational and motivational so that positive things will start to happen throughout your organization!

Ms. Dittemore RN, MSN, is Team Leader of Discover U Learning & Development Center at Mosaic Life Care. She is a nursing professional with over 20 years’ experience in critical care nursing, 11 years’ experience in professional development, and 7 years’ experience in school nursing and community health. She is an experienced nursing instructor motivated to inspire others in the profession, with a strong commitment to developing and inspiring the next generation of nursing talent.
