Welcome to the Advocacy section of the AAMT Professional Practices Network communities. This is the place to learn information relating to the Advocacy of the healthcare documentation profession and will keep you informed with legislative updates, information from our own Legislative Issues Group, press releases, media articles, etc. Please take a moment to read the FAQs and scan the list of links and resources we will be providing. If you would like to suggest additions to any of these sections, please contact the moderator.
The first 4 sections in each community are read-only (but searchable). The last section in each community (the Q&A section) is the place where questions may be posted regarding any information in the first 4 sections. If you have a question relating to the Advocacy of our profession, please use the Search feature at the top of the home page for each community and each section first to see if a similar question has already been asked and answered anywhere in the community. As was mentioned in the tutorial, the Search function of the PPN is the single most powerful tool available to members to quickly locate information.
If you want to suggest a new link or resource, private message the moderator and it can be placed in the read-only sections and found by everyone.
