AHDI task forces are appointed or assigned on an ad hoc basis by the National Leadership Board for a limited period of time with a specific charge/task for which parameters and deliverable deadlines have been set.
Primary Objective: Research and Recommendation.
Quality Assurance Best Practices Task Force
This task force will review, update, and combine the current QA best practices for medical transcription and clinician-created documentation. Furthermore, the task force will review and update AHDI's dictation best practices.
Nonsense Records Typology and Ranking Tool Task Force
Clinician concerns about excessive data entry can quickly diminish with a better understanding of accuracy requirements. Current gaps are evident in “nonsense” records—ranging from odd to wrong— leading clinicians to regard EHRs as burdensome and untrustworthy. This project will lead to the creation of a process for systematically, reproducibly, and authoritatively assessing and ranking nonsense records.
How can I participate on a task force?
Task force members are selected by the National Leadership Board and are chosen either to represent a specific membership sector/demographic or based on subject matter expertise relevant to the task. Task forces are typically not open to new members once the group is well under way and assignments, deliverables, and deadlines have been established.
