Technology is everywhere—learn how to use it safely! MTs utilize technology 8+ hours daily. We work on it, talk on it, and surf on it, and it takes a toll on us physically. This session will provide essential information on how to evaluate your or your employees' work station(s), how to identify problems, make changes that will correct or prevent repetitive stress injury (RSI), computer vision syndrome (CVS), noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), and other "side effects" of technology use. Valuable information for students, seasoned MTs, managers, and instructors regarding latest advancements in monitors, lighting, mice, keyboards, chairs, and desks and safe work habit guidelines as set forth by OSHA. Let's learn to work safely!
