What's the ER really like? Come discover the finer points of bad choices, inevitable consequences, and horrible luck. Be ready to laugh and learn as you “do rounds” with your peers in the AHDI Regional Hospital ER. Patient predicaments, clinical findings, documentation issues, and resource utilization will guide our discussion. As cases unfold, attendee input will be encouraged to generate questions as well as help formulate answers. Transcription and coding specialists, risk managers, and clinical health care providers will benefit from focused patient care scenarios, incredible photos, and thought-provoking discussion from the world of emergency medicine.
Speaker Bio
Tim Brandon, MD, FACEP, lives in College Station, Texas, with his beautiful bride of 20 years. Together they are raising three wonderful children and a 6-pound dog. A graduate of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, Dr. Brandon attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio before completing an Emergency medicine residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Dr. Brandon is currently the assistant medical director of the emergency services department at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a clinical assistant professor of emergency medicine at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
