Speaker Bio
Brenda Hurley, CMT, AHDI-F, has been a medical transcriptionist, an educator, a compliance officer, and has served in a variety of transcription management roles for nearly 40 years. She is currently an independent consultant in the medical transcription industry.
Brenda has been a member of the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) since 1981, has been credentialed as a CMT for over 26 years, and received the designation of Fellow of AHDI in 2002. She served on the AHDI Board of Directors for a total of 12 years, and as its President in 1988 and in 1995. In 2005, Hurley was honored as the first recipient of the AHDI Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award.
