This ticketed laptop workshop will provide step-by-step information about all levels of social networking—from learning how to create your own social networking page on Facebook to setting up an account on Twitter—and the intricacies of maneuvering through these mega social networking sites in order to get the most from each site both personally and professionally. You will learn the differences between Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and LinkedIn. This will be a hands-on experience and will teach attendees how to create and maintain social networking opportunities for their own components or businesses.
Speaker Bios
Matt LaMond works for TranscriptionGear.Com as a marketing professional and product expert. Over many years in the industry, he has become a dictation workflow expert. One of Matt’s many hats is social media coordinator for TranscriptionGear.Com. He created the company’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and MySpace pages and groups. Matt began this project in 2009 and has been maintaining and expanding them since. Matt is also co-chair of AHDI’s Outreach Workgroup for News & Networking (OWNN). He has been constantly learning and expanding his knowledge in the medical transcription industry and social networking for over 3 years now.

Jacque Taylor, AHDI-F, has been a member of AHDI since 2000 and currently serves as President of the 7-state regional AHDI-West. She also serves on the Bylaws committee, OWNN, MAW, the HOD Strategic Initiatives group, the Legislative Issues Group, and was the founding president of the Online Association of AHDI. She started her MT career in 2002 after graduating from MTEC. She worked as an independent contractor, as an employee, and was a part of the educational arena of our profession as a grader and then an online instructor for students residing on the beautiful islands of Antigua and Barbados.
