Welcome Military Spouses!
MISSION: Medical Transcription
The Career That Moves with You!
The ideal career for military spouses
Many MTs work from their homes as independent contractors, subcontractors, or home-based employees. Because a large amount of the work is received and submitted over the Internet, an MT can live in Texas, work for a company based in Philadelphia, and transcribe for a hospital in Alaska. If you currently live in North Carolina but your spouse is being re-stationed in Washington, you can take your job with you. To learn more about medical transcription, please visit our Career in MT page.
AHDI Military Spouse Special Interest Group
This group is for military spouses who are associated with medical transcription whether it be an interest in pursuing a career, a current student, or a practicing MT. The group was established to address and support the unique needs and interests of military spouses as they pertain to medical transcription and as an integral part of the AHDI/MTIA initiative which includes the National Registered Apprentice Program. Join the email listserv and network with other military spouses in this field.
