Title: Get and Stay Organized--Working with OneNote

Date: May 18, 2016

Time: 1 PM Pacific/4 PM Eastern

In today’s world, information management is key.  So when your internal hard drive (brain) is full, how you manage and store information on your external hard drive (computer) is key.  OneNote is an incredibly powerful and amazing application that allows you to manage the volumes of information you receive throughout the day, no matter which format it is received in.  Perhaps the real bonus to using OneNote is the way it allows you to retrieve or recall this information through its incredibly powerful search function.

Whether you need help organizing a simple project at work or multiple projects at work, or need a total immersion into OneNote for life management assistance, my suggestion is to join us, listen and learn.  OneNote has something to offer everyone.  Join us for a few of my favorite tips and tricks, and I think you’ll understand how this application has, without a doubt, become my #1 method for organizing information.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:

  1. Create a notebook in OneNote, add sections and pages to store information.
  1. Understand templates and selecting templates from within the application or creating your own.
  1. Understand and recall at least 3 of the most common ways to add information to your notebook.
  2. Recall tips for reorganizing and archiving information.

Deb Ericsson is currently the Management and Applications Training Manager at Nuance.  She has been a member of AHDI since 1995.  Her medical transcription career began in a small town clinic in Minnesota but has taken her places like Anchorage, Alaska, as well as Concord, New Hampshire.  She currently resides and works out of her home in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

When not tethered to her laptop, she enjoys relaxing with a variety of interests including volunteer work with RAGOM (Rescue A Golden of Minnesota) where she has recently started providing foster care for dogs awaiting their “FURever homes.”  She also enjoys retail therapy, digital photography and scrapbooking, spending time with family and friends, and is always looking forward to spend time with the grandkids.
