Learn firsthand from the vendors how we can help you achieve your organizational goals and put our technology to work for you, dispelling the thought that a valuable working partnership cannot be created or maintained if the vendor is not onsite. This session will serve to realign thought processes that vendors do what works for them versus truly supporting their clients in the best manner possible. We all have the same goal in mind…quality health care! Vendors recognize there is no singular way to accomplish this and can reference best practices used nationwide to help determine what will work best for your facility.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn what a vendor can bring to an organization.
  2. Learn how we use experts in the transcription field to assure fast, accurate documents for your facility.
  3. Learn why you should not fear using a vendor, understanding that you and your facility uniquely matter to your vendor!

Audience: supervisors, managers, directors, business owners, and senior executive team.

Amy Biondi has been in health care 16 years. Using first-hand knowledge from working in a hospital setting to working for a major transcription vendor, Amy understands the importance of how medical records directly affect patient care. Amy has been involved in contracting and RFP processes as well as working with customers and directly with healthcare documentation service employees. Amy has been involved with AHDI since 2013 and a member since 2015.

Debbie Krapfl has been working in the healthcare industry 20 years, with experience in acute and long-term-care medical record settings, as well as transcription. Twelve years ago she accepted a position as a client manager and is charged with contract renewals as well as client retention and satisfaction. She believes understanding vendor “relationships” is vitally important. Debbie has been an active member of AHDI and AHIMA for the entire length of her career.
