Statement on Ethical Compensation Practices

in Healthcare Documentation

An Open Letter to the Healthcare Documentation Community

The recent news story, “Remote Workers Vulnerable In Disputes With Company, Say Employees,” by Paul Flahive with Texas Public Radio raised concern among AHDI’s leadership. AHDI has and always will insist upon the ethical and fair treatment of the healthcare documentation workforce. This is backed by our long-established positions on equitable and transparent compensation practices. Resources, including a comprehensive best practices toolkit, have been publicly available via AHDI’s website to ensure open and free access to the entire healthcare documentation community with the goal of adoption by 100 percent of employers.

AHDI remains strongly committed to providing resources, best practices, and guidance to our members and the healthcare documentation community at large. As always, we welcome feedback on the information we currently provide and your ideas for new resources that would be useful. Visit our website for information on how to contact us anytime.
