As an outcome of the Educational Strategy Task Force Initiative and the research and collaborations of our Virtual Conference Subgroup, we are excited to share that we will be holding a Virtual Conference in 2019. We welcome you to watch the video and read our Virtual Conference FAQs below. We will continue to update this page with further details as they become available.

 

 

 

AHDI Virtual Conference FAQs

Q.  Why is AHDI changing the annual conference to a virtual conference?
A.  Our goal is to provide enhanced educational opportunities that are affordable and convenient to as many people as possible.

 

Q.  Will there ever be a face-to-face meeting again?
A.  There are too many unknowns currently to definitively determine if we will "never" have another face-to-face conference. We do know that the 2019 conference will be virtual, with no face-to-face component. Beyond that is yet to be determined but be assured that we will continue to listen to our members and provide the best experience possible.

 

Q.  When is the virtual conference being held and how long will it be?
A.  The virtual conference will be held over 3-4 days in August 2019. Specific dates and details will be announced once finalized.

 

Q.  Will continuing education credits still be available?

A.  Yes, we plan to offer a similar number of CECs as is currently available at our face-to-face conference.

 

Q.  How will I be able to attend and what if I can’t make a certain day?
A.  Attendees will join the conference via their computer, tablet or smart phone using a link provided by AHDI. Session recordings will be available to registrants for a limited time following conference.

  

Q.  What will the price be for the virtual conference?
A.  Pricing will be finalized and announced in 2019. We will continue to offer a discount for AHDI members.

 

Q.  Can I watch/participate in the virtual conference with a group of people?
A.  Yes! We will have group/site licensing options available so individuals within a group can register and meet in one physical location and attend the virtual conference together.

 

Q.  What are the benefits of attending a virtual conference?
A.  Attending a virtual conference reduces or eliminates travel, hotel and meal expenses. It allows attendees greater flexibility with work schedules, reducing or eliminating the need for time off.

 

Q.  Will I be able to meet others and interact with attendees during the virtual conference?
A.  We are working on plans to make the virtual conference as interactive as possible. More details will be announced once finalized.

 

Q.  Will there be sponsors and exhibitors participating in the virtual conference?
A.  Yes! By going virtual, the vendor possibilities are endless; more vendors for our attendees and more attendees for our vendors – it’s a win-win.
